Welcome Andrew Reineberg - MRRC Research Operations Manager

June 07, 2022

MRRC Users,

We would like to welcome Andrew Reineberg to the MRRC as new faculty and the Research Operations Manager. Andrew is joining us from Colorado where he received doctoral training in cognitive neuroscience - studying the neural basis of individual differences in cognitive abilities using fMRI - and postdoctoral training in behavioral genetics - studying the genetic basis of variability in the BOLD signal and connectivity using twins and population genetics studies. Andrew has significant experience in human brain imaging acquisition and analysis with specialties in task-based fMRI and resting-state functional connectivity MRI. We hope you will find his expertise useful when working with the MRRC on your own research projects.

Over the next several weeks, you will see Andrew transition to a variety of administrative duties, especially those that involve interaction with you, the MRRC research community. He will oversee the scanning schedule, help you configure new study protocols, and assist users in the operational components of existing studies. Please feel free to reach out to him at aer126@pitt.edu with any feedback on your MRRC projects or with suggestions related to the operation of the center. Over the next several months, Andrew may reach out to PIs of projects at the MRRC to better acquaint himself with the wonderful work being done in our community.
