MRRC: Onboarding

The MRRC Onboarding Process

Please use the following graphic as a guide to establish a new protocol at the MRRC:

New Study Paperwork:

Based on Step 2 of the process described above, you will need to complete the latest version of the MRRC intent form and also provide the MRRC a copy of your grant's specific aims page or an equivalent document so the MRRC can ensure your study is supported appropriately. Please send the intent form in an editable Word document to allow radiology to complete their portion. The MRRC intent form and specific aims should be sent to Dr. Andrew Reineberg (aer126@pitt.edu). Older versions of the intent form template will not be accepted.

We ask that a copy of the specific aims to be included to ensure:
  • There is a clear understanding of the scanning requirements of your protocol
  • The MRRC is able to provide the best advice to achieve optimal imaging
  • The MRRC has the resources to support the MRI protocol
Once the content of the intent form is approved by all parties via e-mail (MRRC, PI, and grants administrator) it will be sent by the MRRC through DocuSign to collect signatures.

Scheduling a Protocol Meeting for your New Studies:

Once your study is funded and you have IRB approval, please contact Dr. Andrew Reineberg (aer126@pitt.edu) and the MRRC faculty physicist assigned your protocol to set up a protocol meeting.
